At Kaimana Ocean Safari, we wish to share the magic of the Kailua-Kona coastline with our guests. Incorporating the enchanting ocean energy into our company ethos with “Kai” meaning ocean and “mana” meaning spiritual energy in local Hawaiian language.
Bringing you a once in a lifetime ocean adventure off the West Coast of the Big Island created by husband and wife duo, Cam & Kay Grant (along with fur-mate, Mako) in 2020. Let our passionate team guide you from abundant inshore coral reefs, through otherworldly sea caves, and off-shore into the deep blue waters of Kona’s pelagic zone.
Kona’s steep underwater drop-off encourages constant upwellings of vital nutrients, providing some of the oceans most elusive animals the perfect playground, and allows incredible encounters closer to shore than anywhere else in the world.
We approach our unique tours “safari” style, meaning we cover vast areas of the coastline in search of marine life aboard our vessel. We believe “the search” is part of the fun and allows nature to deliver the adventure. Together, we can observe and potentially interact with sea turtles, a variety of dolphin species, manta rays, sharks, whales, and locals of Hawaii’s coral reefs.
